Hi,my partner is actually now 'ex', but only cos of his adhd. He has been a nightmare for years & has recently been diagnosed wi ADHD comorbid wi bipolar disorder. It is a massive relief for us both, but he has never been able 2 get his life on track & has had (past) drug addiction & imprisonment due to this. He has been clean for almost 3yrs. He was released from prison 5 months ago & was full of hope & positivity at his 'new life' & opportunities with being drug-free. This wasn't to be though, as the ADHD just replaced the drug addiction! If anything, he is in a worse state now than he was when on drugs! (well almost). He has terrible mood swings, agitation & temper which make him appear purposely difficult. He knows he does this & is really remorseful & cries his heart out, but he just can't help it. He's living with his parents at mo who, despite knowing how ill he is, constantly tell him he's got a bad attitude & is a 'weirdo'! They threaten to throw him out constantly! My heart goes out to him, its so, so sad. He could really do with someone 2 confide in & talk 2 who completely understands what he's going through! He's a big softy & has a massive heart, his ADHD has made him & most other people think he's nothing but a waste of space! He's fighting, but is at rock-bottom whilst waiting for treatment. Any suggestions, please, someone he could chat to etc? Thanx
