I've just seen this info posted on the Facebook page of Wales Adult ADHD / ADD Group. Amazon are giving away the Kindle version of The New ADHD Medication Rules: Brain Science & Common Sense for a very limited time only. You can find it here: The New ADHD Medication Rules: Brain Science & Common Sense Book description: Medical treatment for ADHD fails far more often than it should - not because of the drugs themselves, but how they are used - in the complete absence of any precise rules for ADHD Med dosage adjustment. New ADHD Medication Rules -- Brain Science & Common Sense shows that patients can react quite differently to ADHD prescriptions for biomedical and brain function reasons, resulting in missed diagnoses, imbalanced treatment and over, or under, medication. In the only book of its kind, Dr. Parker clearly explains how these misunderstandings occur, and how improved communication with medical professionals can dramatically improve treatment using available methods assembled from clinical experience and laboratory research.

I read 2 pages, then had to go to work. I'm gonna read some more later (if I don't get distracted)

heh, cynical much?
A pinch of salt is always to be taken with research papers/articles/books funded by these companies, but it's better than having no research at all.
I'm still on page 3.... I'll get round to it eventually :S

Hmmm, still not read properly, but looked at references and lots are wiki pages...and noticed Gillian McKeith, who is a complete charlatan of course....
The above notwithstanding, I also get an overall impression that he's not advocating anything potentially dangerous and what he does say about nutrition, sleep, exercise etc is beneficial to everyone anyway....and what he is doing is acknowledging that one size doesn't fit all, and if you're having issues, looking at these things might be the tweak you need to get the most benefit....
So I still feel like it's a worthwhile read....

I found the chapter on the "therapeutic window" interesting...and useful (still been trying to get the dex dosing right, the approach in that chapter has helped me pretty much nail it )
