I have hypermobile elbows! Managed to get tennis elbow in one, so it isn't as mobile now as it used to be cos the tendon is a bit scarred now, but the left one still twists out enough to gross people out. Oh, and the left one stuck out enough to get me a nasty archery injury this summer :/ I can also touch my palms easily on the floor when I touch my toes, so think I may have a bit of hypermobility there, too. I also have sacroiliac joint syndrome...which might be loose ligaments??? I have IBS, too! healthunlocked.com/theibsnetwork/posts/638391/ibs-and-hypermobility-syndromeHow interesting this all is. I have been moaning about tiredness to my gp for around 24 years now....and I queried CFS with her 2 years ago, but ended up with ADHD instead. Blimey. I have certain hypermobile joints too - especially the thumbs which I can bend right back. I used to be able to get my arms over my head whilst holding both hands so my elbows were particularly mobile. I too now suffer from tennis elbow and it's currently killing me after working in the garden over the weekend. I too have suffered from IBS. I too have suspected in the past that I had CFS. Anything else I should know about down Comorbidity Street at the junction of ADHD Alley? <sigh>

I haven't been able to read all of this thread because my brain can't do long posts with long paragraphs - just looks like a wall of text and can't process it but much of what i have been able to read has rung bells. I have always been "bendy" compared to other people, have v mobile joints, easily put palms on floor when touching toes etc. All of which was a bit of a pain when I developed muscle spasms, and joints far too easily went way beyond what should be normal range of movement and tendons/muscles got stretched, some beyond repair. Over the last few years I have had a particular problem with my hands. The finger joints are gradually becoming more hyperflexed, and the joints bend the wrong way - like a creeping condition, it works its way down my fingers and has now reached my knuckles. Makes it v painful to use my hands, esp repeated movements - grating a carrot makes me cry - get a lot of pain in joints and tendons & struggle with grip. Also had IBS symptoms for years, tho these have lessened enormously with low carb, mainly protein and vitamins - based diet and are even better when i steer clear of sugar too.
