It took 9 months from being diagnosed to getting meds, namely mph mph made both mine and my daughters hair fall out Daughter stopped completely for 6 months....I, however, reduced dose....meaning nowhere near beneficial real effect daughter has recently been put on Elvanse and no problem with hair loss, yay! SOOOO, naturally, I have asked to go onto ELVANSE... reply from psych is that he doesn't have any experience of Elvanse??!!??!! And he seems to be doing very little to find out or give me an appointment Just wondered if anyone has experienced this.....and what you do about it??? i fear another lengthy wait for anything to happen, AND it not resulting in the changed prescription that I want thx

Elvanse is licensed for adults now so he shouldn't really be fannying around.
Did Maudsley diagnose you? If so can't they recommend titration and your psych just follow what they say? That's what maudsley do for me

Hi JJ Thanks for your reply.... Well I pondered....and procrastinated ....got annoyed .....procrastinated some more ..... .....then finally sent a fax to the psych giving him Dr Whitwell and Prof Asherson contact details and crossing fingers he takes the initiative, but indicating (politely) will have to take it further if he feels he can't authorise it himself hi mtb79 Yes, thankfully it did grow back, for both of us .....wouldn't want to be an older male with family history of male pattern baldness though because whilst reading up on it heard many anectodotal stories of it not doing so
