*Raises hand* A single designated 'famous ADHDers' thread, perhaps? I agree that it's not necessarily an irrelevant or fruitless discussion to have, and I think it can be interesting, but also think that you could potentially end up with dozens of threads like this taking up board space and putting some people off. If that were to happen, seeing many such threads might also give the impression to people who stumble in here that ADHD is seen as trendy, or reinforce for them the belief that it's a just a generally harmless or advantageous personality trait, on account of most famous people being very rich and/or creative and any trouble and failure they've had not being so well known by the public.

You're welcome. But seriously, no one believes that you're not Ricky, Ricky. This is all about you keeping your ADHD a secret, isn't it. ;D

Hi, boring? you haven't seen much of him... I agree he comes across as very edgy and offensive but I think he's found that alot of people find that funny! and expect it of him. ;D to put it into context: i personally I find Billy Connolly very offensive because he swears so much! I have been asking myself if Ricky has ADHD for ages, If you listen to his early Radio shows he mentions other things that seem very ADHD. He was talking about his girlfriend organizing an evening circling TV shows in the TV times sat on a sofa eating sweets, He said "but it never happened I was probably messing around making noises or making people play games". often he made classic ADHD mistakes like getting words mixed up, forgetting stuff mid sentence, or saying inappropriate things. I do this quite often, and his character "David Brent" I have to say is similar to me sometimes, In the sense that, David Brent seems completely oblivious to the social situation around him. also he offends people, often in jest ...soon after realizes and tries to patch up the offense, I do that daily! as i say have a Listen to his early radio broadcasts on XFM. There are a huge amount of mistakes and misjudgments from saying the wrong time/date to not organizing or remembering the questions to win prizes. hope this explains some more.

I do a bit of acting (extras and stuff) and was in the "Star Bar" where Richard and Juudy's guests usedto wait. Robin Ince used to do te links and as you probably know he used to tour as Gervais's opening act, andthere's a extra bit at the end of one of his live videos where Gervais wats for half an hour in Ince's hotel batroom just to jump out andgo Waaaaaaah to scare him, alomg with telling everyone the room was too hot because of Robin Inces flaming testicles. I had the chance to chat with Robin after and asked if Gervais was really like that all the time. He repied: "He's worse, 'm sure he's got ADHD and I will never go on tour with the bastard again!"

I have to say that the top/middle section of this page has made me laugh out loud for the first time in ages... the funny silly comments about whether these celebs have adhd or not,is firstly this is someones view at that time and should be allowed to be expressed. And having a good laugh ,should be taken very seriously, surely there is room on this site for having a laugh, which I don't think is at anyone's expense. Of course this info is not being presented as serious 'research'........I think all comments are vaild and this should be the place....... Please please more humour !!! These comments are also relevant,as in cultural terms..celebs appear to often take them selves very seriously,as do other people sometimes, more than is good for them,me included,so the funnyness serves a few purposes. It also reminds me to 'Chill out' even if only for 3 mins.

Can't we at least agree that David Brent has ADHD...?

I don't think any of the afore mentioned celebs have necessarily got ADHD. I can't stand Ricky Gervais Naaaa 100% he's possibly got it. He states he has a short attention span and his delivery is very distracted, but we're guessing I suppose (because it’s fun). I notice Einstein has been retrospectively diagnosed with ADHD, dyslexia, heterosexualism, dyspraxia, Americanism, autism. We claimed him first ! ADHD is the genius jean.
