Do you mean you find yourself aimlessly driving or walking when you may have set out with a purpose or destination? Or do you mean you just feel the need to get out?
Sometimes I go out in my car for a specific reason but then end up on a drive around, and not just because I've got lost either.

Hi - I love getting the change to go out aimlessly. If my OH isn't around I'm quite careful to have a set path to follow when out with my children and I don't often go out of that plan for fear of getting distracted and loosing track of a kid or two (I've got young boys who are very explorative). I compromise with myself that on the path to our local shop is a small memorial park, nothing fancy but a safe space for the children to run around a little and explore while I can settle my fondness for tree gazing and ambling about, my baby is a walker now so I can help him walk while helping myself. This time of year is amazing, with all the blossoms and fresh leaves. We also have a treadmill at home that I use for gentle (or fast) walks as I need too. I sometimes put the laptop on top of it (I used an old box like a desk tray) so that I can try and do some light work instead of feeling like I'm wasting my time.
But I love the increasingly rare opportunities when my OH takes us out for a drive and we just go wherever (when he asks me where I want to go I normally say 'somewhere green!'). He's noticed that when I'm starting to get stressed or cranky at home, that a trip out can be very helpful for me.
Sometimes a birds just gotta fly (or in our case - a humans just gotta amble lol) :-)

Yes. That's what I do if I do anything at all. Mostly there's some kind of excuse for not going out driving or there's something computer related thing I need to do first.
