Firstly the good news..... Non CD prescriptions go straight to the pharmacist without me having to walk it.
CD one seems to randomly (pun accidental) either get sent or wait for me to collect. And if chase either Dr or pharmacist they push the onus back onto the other one. Heisenberg's uncertainty principle for prescriptions.
Has anyone else any experience of this.
Could I
- write to practice administrator asking what their policy is and stick to it.
- submit my prescription to pharmacist on paper.
- submit my request online and add a comment "please forward this to XXX pharmacist" or "please keep for collection".
- drop a note into pharmacist asking them to fetch the prescription.
Why is this seemingly easy thing so complicated.

Hi I have experienced confusion around my ADD medication. Something to do with it being a controlled drug. First time after prescriptions went "electronic" the surgery insisted I had to collect/sign for it myself. This time around, I turned up to sign for it and they said it was at the pharmacy. Think they're having a few teething issues!
