Aaarrrgh!! I feel sick sick sick with stress!
Just spent over an hour on the phone. .and even the idea of making a call makes me sick!
Made PIP claim . .some of the script is soooooo long . . I had to keep asking for them to
paraphrase . . then they ask if I have 'severe' ADHD. . .what constitutes severity? . .
And, because things couldn't get much worse. . I called my old energy company who've
been holding on to nearly £600 of mine for a year, despite telling me several times that
they've processed the payment. .so I got rather tetchy . .another promise of payment. .
and they've noted that I was 'dissatisfied' . .Grrrrrr. .

I don't remember how long I was on the phone to them, and that was just to get the form!
And the disclaimer!! It's horribly long and complicated, but you have to say you have understood and agree . . . or they won't even send you the GD'd application form!!
I'll admit I'm a bit paranoid about signing/agreeing to things like that but I can't just say 'yes I agree', if I don't actually know what I'm agreeing to. So the guy is on at least the third time of repeating it, and through the exhaustion I realise that it sounds familiar, and ask him if this is the same disclaimer/agreement that is on the forms. Yes it is. So I figure I've agreed to it before, so it should be fine, and say 'ok'.
I swear it's to try and make those of us who can't stand using the phone give up.
I've just had a ghastly phone call from DWP, out of the blue, to arrange another phone call, like I can get someone to come to the house to help me with it!! They'd even potentially have to wait up to four hours!

Yes marionk, just to get the form! My counsellor asked me to apply before our next session and I was hoping to find a way of doing it online. .the only other alternative is to send them information by post . .and how do you know if you've given them everything they need? There were a few questions and the agreement which were so long. . .and I was so anxious that by the middle, I didn't know how it started and by the end, all I heard was 'do you agree?' . .agree to what? Can you repeat?. . .so, do you mean. . .? and I don't think they're allowed off script, so they say it in it's entirety again. . .

Yep, and it sounds like exactly the same script that they read to me, and it had the same effect on me too, almost verbatim!
