Hi folks,
I just wondered if this is an ADD trait. Do you ever get really angry at retail staff when you get bad service and overreact somewhat? I just had a verbal with a MacDonald's manager over something trivial, he was rude and argumentative, I dropped a few F-bombs and everything. Thanks heaps for your thoughts.

I don't necessarily view it as an ADHD thing, but, error, yes. Especially on the phone. I am courteous but perhaps expect a bit too much.

No. I always have it at the back of my mind that they might have something like ADHD or other issue that has made them inattentive, discourteous, inconsiderate etc. Even if they don't, they might just be having a really bad day!
I usually just picture my son as them and think how I would hate to see anyone screaming and shouting at him because of his ADHD.
Just make a point of not going there again if I think they have been rubbish in some way.

I've done a lot of those jobs and try not to let myself get too angry . .
at least in front of them . .it might ruin my day and make me angry,
but my empathetic nature usually stops stops me from venting until afterwards. .
usually, but not always. .

I can get really angry in my head but I won't be vocal on it
Just stand there getting all uncomfortable and tormenting my own head!!
I'd rally need to snap to say something!!

Its something that I can relate to too... I get angry, although I am now better at controlling it and don't go head to head when something happens. This avoids the 'scene' but means that I am often left feeling stressed and angry for hours afterwards. Any advice on how to deal with that?
