When your in a new job and the work lads seem like bit of fun. So you lower your standard of humour. Only to find out your efforts are pointless. You find out, without them knowing you know, they think your a d*ck.
Im cool with that, experienced it all my life. But do I now just ignore them and crack on at work or do I start to slowly, but surely, belittle them one by one. Its easily done, not many brain cells flowing about between them all.
Obviously, they dont know how much effort im putting in to socialising with them. Wasted efforts.
I go through this same crap at every job. Getting sick and tired of it. My devilish ways start flooding in my brain and im tempted to play with them mentally.
Can send me into a foul mood, has done many times.
Any advice??

Have this all the time Mick. It's at the point now where I just don't bother. I use the old catchphrase "I'm here to work not make friends".
But yeah, as I've said previously elsewhere, sure I'm envious of those people who seem to be able to make friends.
Never seems to help with the whole self esteem thing
