It's the Deficit word. It's not completely right.
We all know that our attention is not deficit all the time, sometimes we hyperfocus. It's more a lack of control over its modulation.
Perhaps it's should be called something like Attention Dysfunction (or the fancy Medical Greek for this) Hyperactivity Disorder?
If we were bold enough to change the Acronym, it's should probably be called Neuroatypical Executive Control Dysfunction Disorder (N.E.C.D.D).
Thoughts?

With my inattentive issues, its not that im distracted (always) by something on my desk or out the window, its what was said 5 mins ago by the teacher that im still thinking about. oh, we are learning about basic attomic structure? i wonder how many atoms are in a grain of sand, or steak. OMG what time is it? i am so hungry now, which route am i going to take to the canteen? Better make sure i have the money for that bacon bap. OH, yes miss. Im listening! Right...so not like that..well not always like that but its in a more repetitive thoughts over the same context. Something v hard to explain, but yes, i agree. its a lack of control over our attention regulation.
