Am I the only one who thought that documentary was crap?
I thought it was perhaps because I don't find him remotely funny - actually he's rather annoying! I thought the show was less about Adhd and just about him which meant I didn't learn anything new and laughed even less at his 'jokes'.
Implying that the token village Adhd person would run off into the sea nd get eaten by a shark was just insulting. Only stupid people do that! If that were the case then there'd be none of us left.
Looking at the hunter vs farmer hypothesis - yes we'd go running into the sea, but what it more likely is we'd kick the shit out that shark and we'd have plenty of meat for the village. Who wants to do farming? Yaaaaaawn.......
Up yours Bremner!

I thought it was okay (although, true to form, I don't remember much about it). As someone who's only recently taken seriously the idea of having ADHD, it was one of the programmes that had me think and reflect a bit more. My only objection was that it was a Horizon documentary, which used to be a heavyweight science programme but now just follows a simplistic format of 'minor personality goes on a 'journey' - literally and metaphorically - to find out about something', sometimes taking a personal narrative.

It was naff but in what context? We are experts within this domain. Was it even for us? Who was the target audience? I've come to the conclusion it's just one part of the 'diversity' push from central government. It's goal was probably to raise the general profile and to create an association between ADHD and success. To this end, it probably did the job

I only just saw this thread but had 2 comment even though it's well past
But I knew nothing of adhd b4 this documentary & 2 b honest I only saw the end
Of the program but my mum saw it & when I got home she said they're describing u
Exactly do you think you have adhd? & so I looked it up & realised I had every symptom
Of inattentive type & several hyperactive traits & so that's what prompted
Me 2 get a diagnosis so 4 me I'd say bremner must of done a good job
