Can you believe this. My 5 year old son came out of school and the first thing he said to me was "I need an early night tonight". Great I thought Then I realised that was a strange thing for a 5 year old to say so I asked him why he said it. Apparently the teacher had "Z your concerntration is terrible, you need some early nights" I won't go in to detail as I have explained on other posts but basically I have been trying to get my little one a dx for 18 months and everytime it has been denied based on the schools opinion of him. Am I being a bit sensitive about this (probably knowing me ;D)). But after months and months of me explian this and them denying it I think its insensitive to say the least. By the way he never goes to bed late on a school night and in general at the weekend he is only up about an hour later which I think is pretty normal. I have a meeting with the school after the holidays, is it worth raising the issue or will they think I am being picky??

Hi mrsmuddle,
I would definitely raise the issue (nicely but firmly) they can't go round saying he's fine and then make a comment like that. It's contradictory and I don't think you're being picky at all.

Thank you. As ADHD dictates I am prone to over reacting LOL. Trying to stay calm for my boy. X
