Hi there What dosage are you taking? If you have just started titration, you might not be taking an effective dose yet. I only got minimal benefit from mph, but it did help, just not as much as I had hoped, and not the way it is supposed to help either. There are a couple of other medications your doc might try you on, and if you have other, often linked problems, like fatigue, depression, sleep problems, anxiety, there are other measures you can take to alleviate them.

I've just started on 30mg Elvanse. First day was a bit of a noticeable difference, but effects have dissipated since them. The only noticeable side effect is feeling sleepy/tired, although that is a good thing in one way - I read up on the 'paradoxical reaction' of Elvanse - as it's dampened down questioning or doubt about my diagnosis.
Still, it's only been a week and I'm feeling impatient to start the increase to 50mg, to see if that has any effect.

deanyates and whatsnextYou're both just starting meds and you're started on a deliberately low dose to see how well you tolerate them ie side-effects It's quite normal not to feel a great deal of difference at this stage and sometimes too low a dose might make things worse until titration to a therapeutic level. You may not respond well to the first medication you try, and may have to try a few until you find one that improves things for you. You may be one of the unlucky ones, like me, who doesn't respond well to meds, but that's OK too. .at least you tried and having a diagnosis makes it easier to ask for help and to help yourself. Don't give up!
