He probably treats it the natural way that one might if they lived in the Caribbean (or any country with a progressive attitude) - with a big fat spliff.

Interesting question!
Once 'made' and has the Virgin staff to do all the boring (neccessary) bits of running a business, is adhd as much of an issue?
But the early days?
At the early stages of something that engages, the incredible amount of enthusiasm and energy adhd can summon is quite amazing, the focus needed for that initial kick start is easy, heck, it's every breath and every heartbeat.
But after that there's the slog, the following it through, the staying focused, and all the time trying to ignore other new shiny things.
And that's the necessary but very very un-fun part
How did he manage that that stage?

No he doesn’t. I worked for Virgin back in the 1990’s and met RB on several occasions. He has very good coping strategies, he surrounds himself with people who can do the nitty gritty and tedious stuff. More than 50% of his ideas and businesses crash and burn, but those that do survive do ok. He keeps a small notebook with him at all times to write down ideas as they come to him. He especially keeps it by his bedside so that if he gets an idea during the night he can write it down and go to sleep without worrying about forgetting it. He is rather shy and awkward on a one-to-one basis with people he doesn’t know very well; this was a surprise to me given his profile. He is certainly dyslexic. I’m not sure he has a formal ADHD diagnosis, but from meeting the guy in person, my ADHD-dar was triggered (I spend a lot of time with folk with ADHD). He’s quite a randy chap, it’s always been a surprise to me that there haven’t been kiss-and-tell exposes. We need more role models that are ‘out’ with their ADHD. I know RB is always on various lists of ‘famous ADHD people’ but I’m not sure if he has ever held his hand up (apart from the dyslexia).
