Is it possible 2 tell from someone's demeanor if they have adhd?
I don't know anybody with ADHD so my only point of reference is r they like me
but I'm not sure if everyone else with adhd have similar mannerisms 2 me?
So just wondered what u would all consider the tell tale signs?

I’ve met a lot of ADHDers now and I think you can tell with at least some.
Signs are speech-patterns . .speaking quickly, then either stopping, or speaking really slowly
before catching train of thought again, or jumping to another subject.
Eyes darting about and head turning at the slightest sound/movement in the vicinity.
Fidgeting. I’m sure there’s more . . .this is why I think that a good ADHD specialist can
probably tell before they’ve got half way through an assessment.

First rule of 'special' club, don't talk about 'special' club! We might be card carrying members, rejoicing in our new awareness, but they might have known for a very long time and be doing their very best to hide it and any approach, however well intentioned, could shatter their confidence knowing or even suspecting they've been 'made'. And confidence is everything. That said... I do have a shortlist ( or in the case of my family, a longlist...) of those I suspect to be fellow 'specials' whom I'm prepared to be quite open with on the basis that theirs is an honest approach. ...but if they are also following rule No.1 that won't happen!

Thx guys so I'm guessing that means I shouldn't confront them with it?
Also thinking about a family member struggling at the moment & as it runs in families...
But she wasn't like me as a kid as in she didn't climb everything or skateboard or do anything daredevil like
I'm inattentive with hyperactive traits I'm wondering if she's just inattentive
do they present themselves differently?
But I got my hearing tested several times as a kid coz my parents & teachers were worried I hadn't heard what they'd said (my hearing was perfect)
But she's not had any of that but she struggled through school & quit her btech course
I got as far as a levels b4 getting expelled (I did finish them at college at my parents insistence)
She's quite young 4 her age (18) & I feel I'm immature 4 my age
I'm just not sure if it's adhd as I only have my experiences as a guide
But my mate I'm sure she has it but doesn't know

Sort of - I know a few people who are definitely either ASD or ADHD or both, but I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
