Does anybody know if one exists (for adults)? If not, considering starting one. Would welcome feedback from anybody interested or with advice about how to go about it. A

If there isn't one already (look really hard first) why not leave an open invitation to meet for coffee at 'x' at 'y' o'clock and see what happens? Best if you take a pre-arranged person so you don't sit there alone feeling stoopid, you can feel stoopid together If not that...how about borrowing a room from a charity in a related field (ASD or anyone you think might be 'related') or see what the local comunity centre has to offer - councils are usually generous to helpgroups. And blatently take advantage of free publicity - here is a great start. Keep it away from the booze though. And a lot of parents can't make weekday evenings due to childcare provision so think your timing carefully. I'm doing this at the moment - I attached myself to a charity and can use their room for my own purposes whenever I want, but I also work for them in other fields.

Ooooh - I have a mild local connection.
My brother lives in the area - If you want a second body to bolster your start up I could arrange to stay with him so I could show my face.
But that would mean running it around when I could get down there.
I'll PM you when I stay there next - but don't wait on that....TELL me to come, worst I can do is say no.

Hi dave,
Thanks for your advice - all really good points. I am going to look into this and do a bit of research and then I'll update the thread and keep you in the loop in case we can coordinate the meet with you being down this way - would be v good.
Cheers, A

Also, talk to Addenbrookes as they have an adult ADHD department and may be able to help or at least tell their patients about it.

Hello, All: Are all of you still in Cambridge? I'm starting up an Adult AD/HD support group on the 11th of April from 1:30 PM-3:30 PM near Cambridge Station. There will be a discussion on a topic plus a light lunch, tea and coffee, and time to socialise! I'd love to see you there. Please feel free to give me a ring on 07855 298536 or contact me via www.ADDventure-Within.co.uk for more details. Looking forward to seeing you there! Best wishes, Rebecca Champ
