Thought I'd report on my experience so far of trying Coca leaf to ease adhd symptoms, mainly chronic procrastination over boring but important tasks & brain fog.
I've been looking for something to act in a similar way to the instant release Ritilin I used to have. I let the prescription lapse when I had other support and, now circumstances have changed and I feel I need the support, I've had trouble getting it re-instated.
What I had been looking to try was:
- Mind Lab Pro
- Malkangani oil (Ayurvedic supplement)
- Coca leaf
- Kratom
- Yokukansan (Japanese herbal supplement)
- Anthony William's ADHD/Autism protocol
So far from that list I have tried Coca leaf, and in my experience it is very close to the effects of Ritalin.
I didn't get the same effect from drinking it brewed as recommended through an Aeropress coffee maker, but I did get very effective results from the "chewing" method also recommended. I think it tastes very similar to matcha green tea.
The website says it occupies a legal grey area. I am glad I have not had to travel to Boliva to be able to try this.
I'm going to order some Yokukansan next to try.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to get focused and organised enough to give Anthony William's ADHD protocol a decent try, as it involves dietary change, a supplement regime, and regular consumption of his heavy metal detox smoothie. I keep buying the coriander for it and then just letting it go off instead of making the damn smoothie, ha ha!
