I searched the boards, but no mention of a testosterone/hormone imbalance making AD/HD worse in some cases. I do wonder if my apathy is due to hormonal imbalance - excess estradiol blocking androgen receptors etc or just plain low testosteron but I only really looked today at this...... I see the doctor in 2 weeks, so I should look into this more, but I probably will just procrastinate. www.addforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=619f7434facd6f15b9ea16ebec911431&t=58304&page=2I would appreciate your comments please. Anything learned/shared will always benefit us all on here and future visitors/lurkers.

I've not been here for a while, just having a look.
I stumbled upon this subject 4/5 months ago. Got tested & being treated. I'm now 100% certain that my ADHD diagnosis was a complete Red Herring!
All the problems I've been suffering (& it has been HELL!!!) for the past 12/15 years seem to be virtually gone.
The only delay is having to be conservative with treatment levels, while I'm seeing the Endo.
You should definitely follow suspicion on this one!

Do tell more.
(Mind you, it seems unlikely to be the cause of the ADHD symtoms for the girls on the board.)

My apathy isnt due to testosterone. Its done to other people's intolerance and my wonderful gift of mananging to piss people off without even trying.
This all leads to a wondrous depressed state where apathy rules ok.

I have a saying which I have not even used on this site yet! "It's not over until it's over" Until every suspect cause of one's "issues" (perceived or real) is ruled out, then one must keep trying, no matter how apathetic/fickle/unstable. Actually , I don't really care either, which is really irritating.. I can still manages lol's though. Male hormones panel www.rmalab.com/index.php?id=9www.rmalab.com/index.php?id=60

Let me try and clarify myself a bit more.
If your body is a solar system.
Take a large stellar body out of orbit and what happens to it?
It will move around, pulled by stronger gravity, possibly affecting other planets etc, until it finds its new place, which could be badddddddddd. In the meantime it might pull some weaker planets out of orbit and they might go around as well... until settled. Some might collide, who knows?
It's impossible to clarify exactly.
If someone feels good, then it's good, but they may not feel as good as they could be etc. However, it's good enough. If someone feels low, then it needs to be addressed.
Oh, let me stop there.

I understood that you didn't understand the stellar thingy. Well I modified the post, so its much more detailed now. Hmm, feeling that you are misunderstood is very frustrating. I can spend a few minutes talking about something but usually forget the point that I am trying to make so I know how it goes. If someone does not understand straight away, I get a little bit unsure of myself, so I have to try it again and it makes me more focussed on getting my point across. It's all good when someone understands. What I have noticed in life is that some people just don't like someone to try and explain something to them. It's like they reach a cut off stage and after that they don't care what a person says and just perceive them as a source of friction and irritation. The trouble is red, that sometimes people may be below your personal level of functioning to understand what you mean. If a scientist explained particle physics in high detail to me I would probably shut off quite quick and tell them that I just can't really process that. I usually know my limits lol. It's much easier when I can track the text that I type, but when I speak I can't see the words, so I generally feels like I am cluttering. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cluttered_speech#Cluttered_Speech_Disordersen.wikipedia.org/wiki/ClutteringCluttering is also characterized by slurred speech, especially dropped or distorted /r/ and /l/ sounds; and monotone speech that starts loud and trails off into a murmur. Clutterers often also have reading and writing disorders, especially sprawling, disorderly handwriting, which poorly integrate ideas and space.[4] A clutterer described the feeling associated with a clutter as: “ It feels like 1) about twenty thoughts explode on my mind all at once, and I need to express them all, 2) that when I'm trying to make a point, that I just remembered something that I was supposed to say, so the person can understand, and I need to interrupt myself to say something that I should have said before, and 3) that I need to constantly revise the sentences that I'm working on, to get it out right. [5] ” Another clutterer wrote on an Internet support group: “ I just seem to rush through the words, and often slur words together and/or mumble—and as a result I often have to slow down, concentrate, and repeat myself. ” “ I add words into my sentences; as an example, 'like', mostly when I'm explaining something or trying to tell someone what I did yesterday. It's getting really annoying and I can't help it. When I try not to say 'like', I just stop and I can't physically speak

I souldnt think theres many people below my level of functioning andy haha!!

My prob is that I dont know that I have been misunderstood, until I get in trouble ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Anyways thanks loads for your input. I find your posts really interesting.
