I have done some serious, high doses of caffeine via coffee.
I have never been addicted to anything, it seems.
I have never taken drugs, smoked etc. No painkillers.
Only tea or coffee and certainly not indicative of an addictive habit.
For instance in the summer I can drink water, mostly with maybe 1 cup of tea with sugar just for a change. Or I could have 3 in a day for a couple of days, but then, water again with no need to continue.
I experimented with high dose tea (10bags per cup lol) yuck, green tea, for the apparent calming effects through theanine etc. (green tip tea the chinese species)
Coffee.. I have done mad experiments with coffee.
Without sugar as well.....urgh.
From 0 cups a day for weeks (almost all tolerance is removed)
I tried 10 teapsoons in one cup....... did not really notice any difference, no jittering etc. Then 1 hour before bed, another.......
Couple of days of that, nothing really noticeable.
Did it change my sleeping habits.....Not that I am aware of.
In fact I get more energy from the old adhd like hyperfocus/excitement of a new toy/new fascination etc or cooking food like a stir fry or similar!
So, it seems I can jump into what would be a massive addiction and tolerance potential of caffeine but then I can leave it without any side effects.
Now, either the nescafe normal brand is almost decaffeinated which I don't think would make sense or I am somehow blocking the effects of tolerance/addiction from even starting......
Any thoughts, scientific people?
anyway, bed now......zzzzz
