surely thats a loophole that needs to be closed off permenantly by the FDA??? its all very well prosecuting but thats only gonna happen if its 'rumbled'. why is the law open to such abuse? surely there has to be a way to close this off, if the drug cant be put forward for use before being approved by the FDA to start with, there must be a way to regulate that its being used only for what its been approved for i am obviously being very naiive here maybe aswell as huge fines, there should be personal liability for criminal prosecutions? after all somebody has made the decision somewhere along the line to do this!! people are now held personally liable for breaches of health and safety and can be prosecuted, so why not the same for this? its a bit scary though dont you think?

Apparently, and I say that very loosely and mostly cynically.......drug companies in the USA will "eventually" need to present ALL trials for a drug as efficacy resolving conclusive........er what?
They must present all trials so that the highly laudable FDA can judge efficacious or otherwise....instead of said drug companies "losing" some reports.....

I was under the impression that when pharma companies are submitting their applications for drug approval they have no legal requirement to submit ALL their data. So they could (and do) just send off the "good" data, whilst keeping any bad results out of the limelight. They only need to produce this data if the FDA ask for all their findings. How fucking stupid is that. Its blatantly obvious they are going to hide anything dodgy looking. Why are they not forced into revealling ALL?

Dare I even mention the aspartame controversy which I read a lot about in the old days, but now I am not really so sure about what both sides have to say about it........
No doubt any good scientist ^^^^ could replicate the conditions for themselves and dispel any false negatives as well as some false positives lol.....
Unfortunately, its not what you can prove but how "credible" one is...
Still, is there not a law somewhere to arrest people who are using deception in this country or is that in my dreams?
