Hi i was wondering what ppl use to call time out ie down time for ur self. as we know its hard to relax for an hr,i was reading that we need to recharge other wise we get more hpyer and adrenalin kicks in to keep us going then makes us more alert then paranoid. well that happens for me.but for some reason we think we can just keep going. sorry to bumle on i my self are hoping to buy a house next yr then convert 1 room in to a padded cell then give the key to my mate who i fully trust and leave me for a weekend and just pass me food. do u think thats a bit extreme.prob wont happen but it just ticlkles my fancy lol thoughts plz

I cant stand being on my own for long i would die in a padded room that is funny though why dont you give meditation a try ! i cant go for walks id love to but i have agrophobia ! so i got a running machine if you can be arsed exercise is good all round i fink its just finding time to do it !
ill tell ya a funny story about my 5 year old who has ADHD we tried "time out" by means of a naughty step if he swear or hit someone he had to go on the step for 5 Min's very hard so we purchased a time out mat £20 from Argos fantastic we can take it out with us if we ever go anywhere and it will all be wonderful unforchantly my 5 year old thought all the lights and timer on there to count you down he wanted to play with it so we let him the first day to get used to it !! the next day was spent him screaming i want to go on the fu%* naughty mat !! we had to return it saying it dosent work lol he now has to go to his room !!! i think it would work if it was done from a younger age but that is my highlighted experience for time out, lisa

I live in a house with an old fashioned pantry (where I can hide when the kids are in the wrong mood ;D) The speakers thing almost works for me too ;D two large wharfdales pointing at me from either side of the desk me helps block out anything happening in the rest of the house!

My idea of pure peace and harmony would be a small holding not too far from a beach where i could be as self suficent as possible. Then id have the two things i love the beach and the sound of the sea and animals who give you uncinditional love providing they are feed and care for. Then id never be judged or critzed or have the confidence bashed out of me. Neither would i have to live up to others expectations.

What about trying a hot bath Tigger? It might help, but if you get it too hot you might go all sleepy and get low blood pressure, so you have to be careful how hot you ahve it!

yeah the ipod ones did hurt my ears so i bought sum panasonic ones that fit in your ears and theyre great, they never fall out.
vicky thats my dream too!!! exactly that, house near beach (preferably a cottage that looks like kirstys from location, location, location) with chickens, goats, a couple of ponies, rabbits, lots of cats and a dog, with a huge garden for my son to play in and vegetable garden ect, its would take alot of upkeep but hopefully one day ill be able to remember to water and feed plants and animals ;D

Lol. I don't think at this point my girls and I care about having the beach too close. Or even the pretty cottage. And if we had a small holding, we'd just direct our rage at carrot fly and the blight, rather than traffic and litter. But oh.. we would so love to have somewhere with land around it. Only a sprinkling of neighbours. And enough room to have a few more chickens ;D and maybe a pig. In the absence of that, I think I might try meditation sounds terribly grown up compared to my usual antics of hiding, and attempted deafness ;D
