I know some of the membership here are, or have been, members of adders.org so feel it is only right to share this sad news with you.
Sarah-Jayne (Caroline as she was known), the site owner, sadly passed away on Saturday 6th February very suddenly.
Please do not see this post as anything other than me trying to share information with you that will have an impact on all of us providing support to those affected by ADHD.
The main forum boards on adders.org have been suspended for the time being.

What a shame, but at least she made a big impact and was achieving her task of promoting adhd etc.

I have to say that it really saddens me to see so few condolences posted on this thread. Bearing in mind that 75% or maybe more original members of this forum started out as members on adders.org.
For those who are unaware, Sarah-Jayne was an ADDult herself with an adhd child. She campaigned tirelessly, and often behind the scenes, for services for adults and children.
She will be sadly missed ..... if not by people here, then by most of the "adhd world".

I am very, very shocked and sorry to hear this.
Deepest sympathy to all Caroline's family and friends.
Although Caroline and I had that one disagreement about the petition it is clear for anyone to see that this was a woman who devoted the best part of her life to improving the lives and understanding of those with adhd.
It was adders.org I turned to when 6 years ago I first came up against the NHS adhd funding lottery. I found the site a real haven and without it I doubt I would have found the fight to pursue an assessment so doggedly.
The adhd community has lost a real hero.
R.I.P. Caroline.

I have only recently joined Adders, so I dont know who she is either, but it is very obvious from posts there and here that she was a great woman who fought her hardest for the ADHD population. My heart goes out to her loved ones, family, friends, colleagues and all who knew her in any way as they are surely to miss her so much.
