I haven't checked out your links...but quickly, i would say I had counselling that mixed CBT and transactional analysis and unconditional positive regard and family systems therapy! I know this, because I saw my counsellor recently and asked her what she used with me, and she wrote them all down for me and said she thinks the best therapy is tailored to the individual and the individuals life circumstances, and so she advocates an "eclective" approach. (just seen that spelling! I mean eclectic! I thought that looked odd!) I would say the counsellor or therapist is the most important ingrediant. And that whatever the therapy is, the relationship between the person recieving and giving the therapy is very very important. Recieving therapy, i think you really need to be open minded and willing to see where you may be wrong about some things. And be willing to see how the way you percieve things might not be exactly how another person might see them. ... Counselling definately helped me. You cannot always change what has happened in life but you CAN change the way think think about those things.

Just read the "look inside" preview you get on Amazon and both look interesting and practical. I might get one of these when it comes times to start medication, because I am a bit worried that after years and years of ADHD I might have ingrained habits that medication won't treat??? Has anyone else found that after they start medication and they can feel it working, that they still can't be as effective as they would like because they have had years of "winging" everything, and don't really know how to "use" a brain that is functionaling in a "normal" fashion???
