(4th edit lolzzzzzzzzzzzzz) Not including Bipolar spectrum disorders.......
Any type of unipolar depression. Typical (Standard all round unipolar depression with varying impairment) Atypical (also known as a subset of mild to moderate, but chronic, unipolar depression (Dysthymia) with possibilities for double depression))
Okay, so we all know that there is medication available for AD/HD and a percentage of people do well on it, long after titration (say....years)
However, I don't hear much about medication for the potentially accompanying Unipolar depression/Dysthymia/atypical depression.
Russell Barkley, in a recent vidlink that I watched, stated " the most common co-morbids are anxieties and dysthymia". (un)Funnily enough, dysthymia apparently is not usually diagnosed for about 30 years. Well, you can only begin to imagine the damage that 30 years of even a mild depression (low mood) can do to the human body whether its a direct effect or causes plenty of self-medication.
I don't know how many medicated AD/HD (in)patients are also on an SSRI antidepressant for any accompanying depression.
It seems that there is generally no point in treating depression symptoms in AD/HD only but I think there could be a good point to treating AD/HD symptoms and depression symptoms simultaneously..
Then again, I'm not any sort of expert.
So, I have polled..........are you being treated for depression if you have medicated AD/HD and how does it feel or are you not being treated?

I take a low dose of diazepam when I get anxious which is about once or twice a week, Its the only thing ive ever been prescribed that calms me down. But its for severe anxiety as Im only allowed to take it occassionally as its addictive. I find im generally more chilled on atamoxtine if not very nauseous first thing for a few hours.
