Okay, so I need to get to london soon. I used nationalrail to choose Rochford to denmark hill and it basically stated: 1) Ground train from rochford to london liverpool street ( I understand that..) 2) Underground london liverpool street to Farringdon underground The confusion here is that the national rail allows 27 minutes for this chunk but Transport for london says it's only 5 mins.. on the metropolitan westbound, platform 2 line. So, is nationalrail allowing 27mins for battling through the hordes, falling over ticket machines and getting squashed between the barriers as well as the 5 min journey etc? I've uploaded the journey jpeg and linked the high res tube map (liverpool street is @ grid C6) www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/large-print-tube-map.pdfPlease help as I'm a toob noob and i'm not relishing it at all, but it's the easiest way to the legendary Maudsley clinic. Take the extra time!
My impression of a toob noob
'Why is everyone in a hurry and pushing me, where's the map *stare at map for 5 minutes* oooh complicated. Gosh this ticket machine is confusing. Why is everyone tutting me? Why are people running down the escalators? Smells funny. Is this the right platform? Where's the map?'

It's hard to know what is average (also sometimes known as "normal) and not average way of thinking or processing.........well for me anyway......
Its not like a computer where we run a program and it goes..... there is no back button.

I was on the tube when that bloke was shot - in the next carriage. I hate the tube. I panic when I go on it now. Luckily, I've moved out of London.
My advice is, get the bus or walk.

Urk, thats something to think about or not.
One thing seems for sure, our train was as free of knee conflicts as the annual klingon knee wrestling competition.

Here in Newcastle we just casually board the train. If it's full I wait for the next one. Maybe it's me and I don't try hard enough to make my commute a nightmare.
