watched the interview with peirs morgan last night and she mentioned her childhood how she was labelled hyper, brain damaged but nowadays she would of been labelled as adhd

Yes, I saw that interview and wondered if anyone would mention it, I didn't get the impression she knew that much about it though. But what a slap in the face to all those bullies.

oh totally yeh they are probably kicking themselves now, im glad that they mentioned that she was actually bright at school

oh yes but isn't being bright one of the reasons so many of us are not diagnosed. It reminds me of my own school reports; Donna is a bright child who has the potential to do well, if only she would pay attention, sit still, stop talking in class and concentrate. I wish I had susan boyle's fight and determination and a gift like that wouldn't go a miss!

i wouldnt mind it either, but think there is this inner drive to succeed even with repeated failures we encounter we are stubborn buggers lol

I disagree with your idea of bright people not being diagnosed - I think it's the other way round. If you're a bit dim then nobody tells you you're underachieving and you might not have developed the ability to question your condition.

@ Donna most of my reports said the same if only i put as much effort into paying attention as i do into fidgeting lol. i also watched the susan boyle thing the comments made me smile XX

I take your point planetdave, and although my parents and some teachers considered me bright and intelligent as a child, I have also been called thick, stupid, dopey, dim etc. Its no wonder ive spent most of my life being totally confused. I guess whats going on in the inside isn't necessarily portrayed on the outside.
