So, I don't tend to at weekends, but maybe I would get more done if I did?....

I vary enormously from taking my whole dose religiously for over a year to have a few days off here or there to only taking meds on days I feel will be stressful.
Generally speaking I like my meds but would prefer not to need them (annoying side effects + concern about long term health) and I can get along without them fairly well. But it helps to know they're there so my eggshell thin psyche can be defended that bit better. Or if I'm fixing my car. Or attending a family re-union!

Its a combination of not being in a morning routine at the weekend and forgetting, as well as from when I first started I lost lots of weight due to suppressed appetite, so I stopped at the weekends to catch up on eating lots nom nom nom. I do think I would get more done if I took them at weekends, but I forget, and part of me thinks maybe a couple of days of mooching about isn't the end of the world anyway. Just wondered what others did?

voted "something else" because for now I'm taking "as needed", up to 40 mg Ritalin per day. Most days all four doses are needed, but I might skip some if I'm couch-and-tv-bound.

i take mine pretty much every day. but occasionally i will skip once in the week, especially when i'm not feeling very rested. But i don't tend to skip more than one day in a row.

Take them religiously during the week, v slack at weekends - generally don't bother with an afternoon dose, mostly because I try to catch up on sleep.
I get bugger-all done as a result, unfortunately.

Only take them during the week, basically when I really need to concentrate and pay attention ! I took a break over Christmas holidays and didn't take any, I have had to titrate my dose again but not a bad thing.
Still waiting for the 'huge weight loss' side effect ! (or maybe I'm just a greedy cow !) ;D

I tried Ritilin, it was crap, tried Straterra and decided I would rather being a raving looney than a zombie. No meds for me!!! Who wants to be like every other boring fooker on this planet. Got my charm back too as you can see!

;D I said something else...mostly because it's not just a case of remembering in its self as to why i have or haven't been taking them so far but not been on them that long reeealllyyy. Just haven't gotten to grips on or off so something else fits more than when i remember coz that isnt strictly true ;D

Stimulants only shift a little bit of weight for me, perhaps because we react differently to the norms.

I've lost almost 5st now, since I found out why I struggled to control my overheating. I still overheat compulsively when my meds wear off but have much more self-control when they're working.
