I might not be able to get there in time tomo. We've got to wait in for a delivery and as I speak Zena is at the hospital with her Dad. She has been there half the night bless her and we dont know when they will let her take him home. No doubt at stupid o clock now but they've had ages to sort him out. Now all the pissed up folks accidents/fights will start comin in too, grrrr

Hope it goes well. Don't forget the FT goosey. Oh, and the turd buns... or were they out of the picture for today?

Not sure if the threat of turd buns put folk off.....but did think we might have more than 2 turn up.....me and seahorse !! Thanks seahorse ;D Have drowned my sorrows in BUTTERSCOTCH ANGEL DELIGHT and copious amounts of chocolate.....feeling better already If the location is a problem then other suggestions are very welcome ;D

Babe, don't be disheartened! I know for a fact that Atticus has sat on his own in the Central London venue, particularly at the start. Don't take no-shows personally - we're ADHDers! Notoriously, but unintentionally unreliable.
Keep going, if you can bear it. If you build it, they will come....eventually, with enough diary reminders/alarms/absence of distractions.......

Cheers shiny,
There's always a starting point just thought the sunshine might bring folk out ;D
There will be another meeting after my exams. I intend to BUMP this thread until it bounces !!!!
Anyway.....I don't need much of an excuse to scoff butterscotch angel delight !!

Hmmm, maybe if we brought butterscotch angel delight to the next meet, it might lure people to join us! Never mind, I enjoyed meeting and chatting with you. Spent the evening resting, eating mini flapjack squares that b/f bought to cheer me up, and reading - just finished aspergirls after 5 hours of reading, I'm definitely getting my reading-mojo back!

Ps. Yes, I turned the wrong way leaving Twyning, and joined the eastbound carriageway instead of westbound! But at least it's just a short run to loop round the roundabout at the end (also if I'd missed the junction on the way there, I could have looped round and exited on the other side)

Yes I saw that seahorse, but little I could do to stop you !!
Guessing your Plan B.......I looked out for you on the westbound carriageway ;D ;D

Should have known I'd get something wrong - I found my way there with no probs or wrong turnings, found somewhere to park, even got there early! I had to do something to balance the order/chaos distribution! Truth is I memorised the turns to get there and neglected to memorise the turns to get back...

Yep, hoping more folk come and play at the next meeting !!
I'm hoping to have a holiday, but nothing sorted yet, so weekends are available. I know weekday's are tricky for workers.
Did folk want to meet at The Three Pears at Worcester, Junction 6 of M5 ? Not sure where else to meet that's convenient, easy to find / park and not too private.
Sat 20th August or Sun 21st August ? Just come for 1 hr, leaves time to spend with your families ;D

We could possible organise one in Worcester/Gloucester/Kidderminster/Evesham/Hereford depending who is interested we can find the place closest to us all to meet? Maybe a pub or restaurant such as a Harvester would be a good place?

Ok, I'm biased here, but Hereford is nice and easy for me to get to and has a car park which is £1 to park all day last time I heard...

Hereford is fine by me, but i dont know the area that well, are there any places like a harvester or leisure complex i.e bowling that we could all use?
I am guessing we will get about 5 - 10 people interested. You would then have the plus people partners. I for one will bring my miss possibly my child if its born intime so +3 people from me alone lol.
I would say max turnout 15 - 20 minimal 8 - 12 to make it worth it. Some suitable venue could be hard to find.

Hmmm, there's a weatherspoons, I've often met up with people in there, easy to accommodate a group without needing to book or anything. Also other similar places on that road. It's about 15mins walk from the cheap car park (will check te price with my colleague when she gets in this afternoon), about 5mins from the railway station and right near the bus station. Don't really know much about leisure complexes etc round here as places to meet up with people...

Ok next job, Set a date and get a list of people. Christmas is coming up so this year I guess is out of the question for many. Perhaps a date sometime in 2012 @ around 8:00PM (to allow people time to finish work/School/College/Uni/Travel Does anyone who would like to come have any dates they cannot make it to Hereford/Weatherspoons in Jan 2012? I guess this is the place your talking about? www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/the-kings-fee

That's the one. How about a Saturday? Then we could meet earlier... Can't do 1st Saturday of the month, and I'm not sure what Saturdays I'll be working next year as the rota hasn't been drawn up yet, but afternoons would be ok anyway as we only work mornings on Saturdays. I checked with my colleague about the parking, she said it's recently gone up to £1.50, but that's still pretty good for all-day parking!

Well i will have to book the day off normally work Fri,Sat,Sun but it should not be an issue with 3 weeks notice. I defiantly have 14th Jan 2012 off as Annual leave. How about Sat 14th Jan 2012 @ www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/the-kings-fee @ 8:00PM - 10:00PM? Would not be worth doing the meeting if we get less than 5 I wouldn't have thought. So any more takers?
