Just curious is having ADHD effects us in a crisses intreasted to see how this goes.
I find I am great in a crisis my mind seems to clear and I seem to just get to work and do what is need wether it be, that my heating is gone and I have to make the house warm for the kids, or if someone is hurt and I need to act fast, I find I am great and thrive on the adreniline rush.
It of course just maybe who I am but thought it might be intreasting to see what people think on this

Yup - adrenaline = cookin'. Hence focus when the chips are really down. But too many spikes can be exhausting. I also found eventually I couldn't switch it off - because reaching a state of high stress has emotional wear and tear as well - so was waking up in a state of panic every night. Beta blockers helped but switched the lot off, so I lost my ability to get geed up enough to get anything done. Get up and go got up and went. So off the bbs but trying not to rely on getting wired on adrenaline all the time. Easier said than done.

Yeah your right in fact I ticked the would love to do it everyday but in reality would proberbly find it exsaughsting your right. I do like that feeling though of just feel so in charge of it all. I hate that it seems to take a drama for me to get to that state though strange.

It's part of my job to deal with a "crisis" (i.e dogs heart suddenly stops under anaesthetic, dog stops breathing or a client brings in a dog absolutely peeing blood from somewhere) I think I'm pretty good at dealing with these

And me! I come into my own in a crisis - it's the only time I feel fully alive and awake. Am hoping adhd meds put me in this state more often.

Absolutely thrive on crisis.
I am just waiting for the zombie apocalypse when fellow ADHDers like me are going to rule the world...
Finally. A world where chaos is normal and all that matters is whether you can think outside the box and cope in a crisis.

Me too! Found myself reflecting at work that I quite like difficult situations because they're not boring. Crisis- yes! Filing? Aaaargh...!

Everyone else runs round in a mad Dad's army type "Don't Panic Don't Panic" fashion... and there's me straight out of a Lock Stock scene. "Chiiiiill Wistonnn, it's just Gloria"
not in the literal sense of course... lol
