Sherry made a post about the way she perceives ADHD.
I decided to make another thread.
Ssssssso, I have a friend who is Turkish and he was making an exhibition stall for his business in Turkey. Don't worry, he is the best part of Turkey, the secular, not the sharia believer.
We went to maplin and bought some shiny shiny laser lights that have a red /green alternating expanding shrinking projection pattern, you know of the type.......shiny shiny.
His words "I know what Turkish people are like, they like these lights and novelties"........
Hmmmmmmmmm.
What is called ADHD now, has been around for centuries. Obviously, when people need to fit into the "manufactured, profit maximising" business model....... it becomes harsh.
Of course, that does not mean I'm lightening the impact of "ADHD" as there are plenty of horror stories about functional impairment (that's the polite term lol)
Hope I've made my point, which was...er .......shiny?

There are lots of countries/cultures where gaudy is not considered gauche. I prefer to look at behaviours. A land where individualism, artistry, small 'kingdoms', adventurousness etc etc abound are likely candidates to have higher incidences of ADHD than average. North America is a bit obvious (all those adventurers). If I also mention errrr Guinness and errrr whisky There seem to be other cultures where ADHD is more prevalent - you can try hunting them down.
