On a few occasions (just occurred) I have written large posts, usually replies, but eventually sometimes I just trash them and don't post at all, because it either does not feel relevant enough, helpful enough, is just perhaps adding some confusion, or opening up conversations too much leading to far more questions without any solid, beneficial outcomes.
Anyone else done this?

yes andy i find i am like this also ...when i get into writing the post i then read over it to find that what made sense as it was written ends up quite a jumbled mess, with many spelling corrections to make. and poor punctuation Having a very small space to see what one has typed makes things difficult to see and ammend things ....so often posts are scrapped

Absolutely! It is tricky though to remain on topic when discussing such a far reaching and complex subject matter, great result for Chelsea though don't you think? ! :-)

I just cut my average post height in half by removing profile stuff. Makes it easier to fit more replies into a thread or does it? Oh well, stuff/nonsense/random.

I have to admit though, that I think its down to my confidence and thinking that what I have to say is either irrelevant or just stupid but I am guessing that its probably something to do with years as a child of being told to shut and stop interrupting or being told I dont know what i am talking about cos i am stupid...
Have got loads more confident since coming on this thread... I know I can waffle and if no one talks to me then i can just delete it again! lol not that I have ever had to and the fact that everyone actually understands what I say irrelevant or not!
