I discovered this last week - if you click the bookmark you can get email notifications to your email or your aadduk mail box - I think you need to select which in your account settings.

If it makes you feel any better - although I now know how to do it - I keep forgetting to actually do it! I generally go off the 'top 50' - if it happened more than 50 posts ago - it didn't happen!
Of course I *did* just post this on the wrong thread as a result....

Surely 'New topics' is the only way *anyone* follows these fora?! Anyone able to trawl meticulously through each one is a fake!

And Wikipedia is fatal. There's an XKCD strip about it (my favourite cartoonist, really only for geeks):

I generally go off the 'top 50' - if it happened more than 50 posts ago - it didn't happen! Absobleedinglutely! Top 50 coz if you're interested enough you'll be back more often than a dog to it's vomit. Anything else of interest - I go to my profile to check on my last ten posts - obviously no one else has anything of interest to say

I discovered this last week - if you click the bookmark you can get email notifications to your email or your aadduk mail box - I think you need to select which in your account settings. Ah! I've been bookmarking but nothing's been happening, I just assumed sometime I'd get around to finding a bookmarks page and they'd all be there... Maybe I'll get round to checking my account settings sometime... I just keep the "newest threads" page open and refresh each day, but I got a bit behind so was intending tonight to open up the main forum list and read the posts that dropped off the bottom of the newest threads list before I got to them...

And Wikipedia is fatal. There's an XKCD strip about it (my favourite cartoonist, really only for geeks): Couldn't agree more - I wiki-wander for hours... then I wander onto something too complicated and lose interest and go play facebook games instead...

so why when you go to profile and 10 last posts does it only give you 5
XKCD rocks but I can never find it unless given a link.
but don't send me a link as I have to be geekish and battle my computer, mathcad and an assignment.
oops what am I doing here?
I suffer from RNTR variant 1N2W
repetetive need to read(posts) syndrome.
but then again I always seem to be oppositional
