i've read MPH can be used in mild and controlled epileptic patients, but not specifically Concerta XL. I agree it will depend on the doctor. I don't think it has anything to do with the length it's in the system, more it's distribution in the system and lack of dosage control? So one day it could be fine, another it might metabolism differently and cause stress to your heart which could in turn set off a fit. It's also been know to increase light sensitivity, so someone that might have Photosensitive epilepsy could be at risk more so than others. Its well known that MPH causes pupil dilation. have a peek at this and see if this interests you adc.bmj.com/content/90/1/57.abstract if you can't cope with it let me know and i can try to summarize it for you.

you mentioned the concerta for the ADHD implying you are taking other medication? are you taking SSRI's or tricyclic's steph? oh didn't see this post mate. when i posted the article it jumped me to page 3 so didn't realise this was here! I wasn't ignoring you. No i'm not on any 'happy pills'. Though I have thought about the option if i decide to change from MPH or come off it. I want to have children and for obvious reasons can't continue on MPH while pregnant or breast feeding. really frustrating as i need to be on meds for work. no work, no money, no baby... grrr.

ok is it a new NHS policy to save cash on pills to suggest folks are stoners, or psychosymatics? this is just shocking for me as i had depression and anxiety and i'll tell you what if anyone said they had it i would totally believe it and can totally empathise! funny as i went for a D/X to see a proffessional i saw someone unqualifide to even speak to me unsupervised! she pulled out a personality disorder caused through drug abuse diagnosis although she was unqualifide to even diagnose me she has now left the NHS and thats the reason the NHS are not going to take the case on! (fob off) whever or not the crown can drag her arse in a dock infront of the beak is a diffrent matter under impersonating a doctor and dishing out a diagnosis whilst not registered with the BMA ;D

(fob off) whever or not the crown can drag her arse in a dock infront of the beak is a diffrent matter under impersonating a doctor and dishing out a diagnosis whilst not registered with the BMA ;D This is where i will be leaving the conversation with you. As your above comment was unprovoked, inappropriate and unnecessary. I stated an opinion playing devils advocate what someone 'sounded like' to me. I did no at any point say someone was a stoner or diagnose someone as psychosomatic. you take things too far. I suggested psychosomatic in the other thread as i know it's quite common for people to let things get to them once they know about them. generally, once they realize it's all in their head and they sit back and relax a little. things settle down for them. I don't have time to be spoken to that way. sorry. If you feel you would like to continue the conversation appropriately, feel free to change your tune and possibly even apologize for your unnecessary behaviour. As for your experiences with the NHS, that's nothing to do with me. I don't work FOR the NHS, the NHS contract out the company I work with for their patients. I work for a private company along side the NHS. So I can't help you or advise, you need to speak to your social worker or consultant if you are unhappy with your treatment. I think someone mentioned PALS which is also a good route. see ya
