Jees who else BOASTS about a disability? you dont see deaf people wearing "I cant hear you!!!" T shirts! If people want to be taken seriously as a disrder you cant go around boasting the positives.
I think any positives there are are a a result of constant work-arounds and over compensation anyway. Does no-one else feel crippled, cant hold a job, has no friends, serious debt? That what ADHD does people!!!
I am FUCKED off with this namby pamby dream a lil dream attitiude, I need HELP, I need MEDICATION, I need THERAPY to even start to put my life back together.

You only want to see the negatives?
Beat yourself up by shouting 'I have a disability' is a surefire way to give yourself another one.
Without falling for the 'high five, woooo' west coast school of over positive thinking there are aspects to ADHD which are distinctly different from the norm - and being able to exploit these is probably the key - what's the point of trying to beat people who have a head start on you? Clever people rig the game to suit them by playing to their strengths and minimising their weaknesses.
It's a rule that applies to everyone but is especially important when you're a round peg in a world of square holes.

We just have to get on with it,and keep trying its better than mopping round house all day feeling sorry for self. I care for someone who is paraplegic no use in arms either. Got trachyostomy, cathather and peg, but still has his mind in tact, we arent that bad, its not the worst disability in world, we just have to do What Dave said and play to our strengths.

I was feeling a bit like you Amblyman today, as I can identify with what you say, but I'm much happier when I'm positive and get more things done and life is better. I have all of these qualities in this sun picture - but I have what you describe as well.
