Thank you for taking part in the Dr James deniel screening test! ;D
This is the point everyone questions there sanity!
Alot of people test my fucking sanity ;D
It's normal to feel like you are losing the plot and going fucking nuts at one point or other in you're life! Unless you are in a select type of person that is in denile!
I don't recall ever getting asked such a question by the NHS Ever and it seems such a obvious question and a logical one? And this would help screen suitability for CBT candidates? Has anyone remotely been asked anything along these lines?

Please don't shoot me! But sometimes I do wonder, whether in fact I am simply just lazy, unmotivated, mildly eccentric and not as clever as I imagine I am.

Always.
But i'd honestly live in my bizarre and surreal reality as opposed to the seemingly grey monotonous shallow existence that "they" live in.
There,mad as a lorry,me!

I often question my sanity, but then again I think I would be crazy not to. Part of scientific process is to proffer a hypothesis and then conduct experiments to see if that hypothesis is true or not. The results then get fed back into the hypothesis loop and you should eventually end up with a close approximation of reality. Unfortunately, the world of within is a very difficult place to conduct objective experiments. For example, Gnosis (or self-knowledge) is, to all intents and purposes, a religion - but one based on the above principles. Jesus was a Gnostic, as was Mohammed and Buddha. In this day and age though, anyone claiming to have visions and of having had spiritual insights is treated to constant derision and skepticism, which is why I usually keep my mouth shut these days

I was once told by a support worker that if I was truly crazy, I wouldn't be questioning my sanity.

I don't so much question my sanity as know that I am insane. But sanity is by and large a social construct so I am not too worried.
On this note I heartily recommend reading Veronika Decides to Die by Paulo Coelho if you haven't. It's a short book, an easy read and the semi-autobiographical elements of it really struck home for me and made me feel a lot more comfortable in my own crazy skin. It's one of the books which helped give me the confidence to get diagnosed despite everyone in my life saying 'Dont do it.'

I do. Or I did. I know I am insane. I function though.

It's more like "I accept my insanity" (and take care of it)

I've never taken my sanity seriously. Being "sane" is far to close to being "normal", which is my worst nightmare. I ended up questioning my insanity when I tried my key in the front door of a neighbor's house and realized I bought a house in suburban hell.

Rarely. But as far as I'm concerned insanity is psychosis and being out of touch with reality. I'm dippy, forgetful, disorganised, chaotic and march to the beat of a different drum...but no, I'm not out of touch with a shared reality.
Saying that, I really hate all the connotations of in/sanity. Sadly people do suffer from psychosis and it's pretty horrible for them and those around them - but calling them crazy and insane doesn't exactly help.
Talking of which, what's with the 'coocoo' word? Sounds too much like cuckoo to me and unless there's a more benign explanation, I don't like it.

I think when you question your sanity you are sabe Those who don't question it are the ones with major issues

I don't so much question my sanity as in 'am I sane or not' because the answer is simple- I'm not sane, not in traditional sense, I'm too different for that. But I do question my sanity by way of self reflection, evaluations, second guessing myself sometimes and philosophical musings.
So far as I'm concerned my bother normal nor sane but I am not broken either. Sanity is merely a perception. And if my research over the years has been of any use then I'd suggest that most people in the world are as insane as I amlol- though I don't have any proof of this :-)
