All through my life I've had cravings for things (except chocolate for some reason); for months I've had to have a family size trifle every night, even if I have to walk all the way to the shops when I don't need anything else. My son was trying to be helpful when he said 'rather than going every day, why don't you buy 2 at a time'. I tried this but I just ended up eating both of them! I should point out that I'm not fat, I'm actually quite slim. Anyway the trifle thing is finally wearing off but, now the cravings are turning to Marks' mini pork pies with tomatoes. This is a tough one as I don't live near a Marks' Does anyone else have these sort of cravings?

For the last few weeks, it's been Milkybar chocolate. Luckily, the big bars are only £1 and I can't eat it in huge quantities because it's so sweet. I have accidentally let my brain associate it with Diet Pepsi, though, meaning I often want both at once!
I only buy one Milkybar at once, though. That means either someone has to be going out and can bring one back, or I have to stop what I'm doing and walk through the park to Tesco.

My obsessions with food don't seem to last long.
Trebor spearmint softmints are flavour of the month at the moment (cause they are cheap at home bargains primarily) and I am liking a lot of crispy duck and pancakes for some reason.

Yes, I do the cigarettes too AND nicotine gum and I used to go through 3 packets of Trebor extra strong mints a day. Do you think there could be something wrong with me?? , I don't think this sort of thing is normal.

What made you give up/reduce the mints?
ADHDers are prone to addictive behaviour.
I lapse into daily snack habits - I'm lucky I no longer work near a Starbucks because when I did, I couldn't resist their granola bars, with a skinny decaf latte to wash it down. At around 500 cals for the combo, that wasn't a sensible habit to have.
When pregnant, I craved broccoli and pineapple. I got quite anxious if I couldn't see where my next hit was coming from.
I also have a thoroughly boring and predictable long-standing love of good-quality chocolate. The fever really takes over during PMS week, when I am generally more ADHD anyway so can't resist.
I also get very specific 'notions' (eg for a packet of Rowntree Sour Pastilles) that I will pursue with some determination. If I can't find them in a shop, nothing else will do.

I have one. I urge you to try my recommendation. A little background first. Supermarket shopping, bored, wandered down the foreign foods aisle. Saw item in question, what the hell I must try this. Got home. Tasted. Oh wow where have you been all my life wow the taste. Incredible. Mouth watering. Addictive. I must drink more more more. Drunk it all in one go. Mind wandered to possibilities wow imagine that with gin or vodka.... Went to work told everyone insisted they try it. They loved it. I don't want to sound like a weirdo but I'm sysnesthetic too and this stuff paints one helluva canvas on the lenses of my eyes with every taste. Get to the f-ing point Tom. Ok ladies, gentlemen. ... Manufacturer. Tymbark (Polish) Product. Cactus. Cactus ? W t f. Ok. Apple juice. Lime juice. Little bit of prickly pear juice. All in one green drink. And when I say green, imagine Wembley football pitch gleaming at 2.59pm fa cup final day. This stuff more than any drink, alcoholic or not, is shockingly good. Where I live only ASda sells it dammit so I go to my Polish store just for that ! I'd never prev been in one some of them look scary! Do it ! Cactus , by Tymbark. People of Poland. I love you, you are truly blessed. And in relation to the original post, I get three or four a week from people who I have conned into paying me their Cactus tax. By this, if they see it they get one for me! Cool! Maybe that's obsessive, but there's heroin or something in it. This stuff costs about 1.20 for a litre carton. I urge you to look for it. Et voila thanks Planet Dave!

For years it was nicotine til i gave up for the New Year. Now I crave snacky foods: eg peanuts and those potato sticks, which taste completely different to crisps even though they're made of the same thing.
