im pretty sure i have ADD i think i had adhd mildy as a child but i was usaully just as hyper as my best friend who had adhd and we would joke that i had and its only now that i reach 22 that i think i have it im really trying to find a way to get diagnosed i dont know where to i got fobbed off by by doctor who never knew much about ADHD or ADD i thought i had adhd till my friend said that maybe i just had ADD ....i really need help im at uni and ive managed to get through 3 years but by struggling and teachers reaaly helping ive got my last year of uni in sept and im studying animation that really does require alot of organisation...... please some help i really want to get diagnosed and get some meds.....i pretty much have struggled with the symptoms throughout the whole of my life and its really effected my school life...im sick of only acheiveing average grades when i know that if i could concentrate i could really excel guys please help im based in southampton for study and originally from croydon/london how do i go about gettting diagnosed?........ and HI HEHEHEHEHE!

Go to your GP. You will be told that there is no scheme for AADD in Southampton, I am in Southampton. I have got an assessment next week after a few months wait. Be prepared to 'sell' your symptoms because it is possible your GP doesn't know much about the condition.

Hello Guys its me again and I'm now older and wiser and less bouncy haha, But I just recently looked into getting refereed again as before there was not funding etc in Southampton. After checking again on this website it seemed like there had been some specialists in soton, went to the doctors and asked to get reffered, as you can expect the doc tried to fob me off, but I recieved notification that there was funding, I got my assessment from a dr Sally Cubbins and am now officially diagnosed with adhd
