When I'm tidying (throwing out rubbish/sorting) I get distracted and end up reading every scrap of paper that has words on.
Anyone else do this?

Yeah, I wouldn't say every scrap of paper, but enough to cause tidying to become a never ending task (until I give up).

My sister left the keys to her sports car (a V8 ) with me. So I threw them in the bin. Luckily we had changed to fortnightly bins and I had an OH SHIT! moment before bin day.

I don't do it voluntarily. Always asked to / forced to by parents or fiancé.

hello,
I tidy up all day...all day long (apart from little moments when I feel a desperate urge to lie down) which I assure you dosent last. Have you seen that Mr Muscle advert that say's that women spend an average of 6 hours a week cleaning? Ha haaaa...I swear to you I spend 6 hours a DAY cleaning but you'd never ever know it!!! There's a great episode of Modern Family where they are wondering if the little lad has it...but then the episode show's it's the dad also....very funny...very accurate. Don't worry too much no doubt by the time you've got rid of it all you'll look round and find you have accumulated a ton more while you've been at it! And anyway once it's all sorted and neat you'll lose your random system...and then things will get messy ;D

That is true, I can never find anything afterwards.

tidying? I have done it before but found it too boring to do for more than a few minutes. Before long I am so bored that ANYTHING will distract me eg: make a cuppa put the radio on cook go out read a scrap of paper sort things into piles but then once I get distracted I get distracted from the thing I got distracted with which usually leaves a mess and I'm back to square one.

Sounds like me. Find a heap of paper, start finding it refers to unfinished projects from years ago, spread them all out over the floor. Give up and and then my wife gets annoyed with me for not finishing,

What is this accursed word - tidying? The mere suggestion that floordrobes, tardis cupboards, tarddrawers etc should be replaced by a real and not superficial/smoke and mirrors system, is ludicrous, "normal"-lystic and should be punishable by much procrastination, huffiness, outbursts and obtuse debate. Thank you for not paying attention
