Loved the music. Mike Oldfield? Awesome. The Shipping Forecast? Not a song, ok, but still awesome. F**k Buttons? Yes, they actually are a band, and are awesome. Dizzee was a nice touch.
But an ageing Paul McC singing my most hated of Beatles songs? Leave it out...

Don't know anything about the ceremony. Oldfield? Interesting. Elton John? Give me Lion King songs. :-)

I thought it was great. The only negative about it was the BBC commentary. I mean why do they have to commentate everything? I spent half the time shouting "STFU Hu Edwards" at the screen.

Instead of Bowie's 'Heros' when the GB team arrived, shouldn't they have played the Bennie Hill music. At least it would have been amusing to see if they would speed up and walk at high speed all over that mound thing.

Apparently they saved that tune for the guys who raked the sand at the beach volleyball... 8)
