Hi all, Do any other folk have really really bad trouble in making their mind up about stuff? Indecision really bugs me yet I quite often find my self 'pondering' over something or another. It effects both big and small issues...from whether I should do my Phd or go to work, and I start it in September! Or what I should do for dinner (although it always ends up with 1 of 5 dishes). What to wear (change at least 3 times a day)..it really really does my head in. I thought maybe my concerta would make a difference to that but seems meds or no meds, I'm still a dithering idiot!!! I could kick myself for it Making your mind up is the song of the day (or 4) for those who may be struggling with a repetitive tune choice ....... sorry ;D Lisa

I just watched pointless, and had that earworm already.
And yes. I especially have trouble with meal choices, but any decision tends to be a difficult one. I would rather let somebody else decide.

Odat....ha haaaaa, you did a good impression of me there!!!! Maybe I just over-think things...which is great in an academic environment but dosent work that well in day to day life...it does make everything a mission! It perhaps is just a part of my personality rather than ADHD related...or is it? ?

Dithering idiot here! I've an exam in 2 hours, I've not started revising and I'm still in bed! The advantage to staying on to do a PHD is that the University's are likely to be more sympathetic to your condition than a bog standard workplace. You are more likely to have access to support and will give you more time to identify and develop coping strategies. Most importantly, you're doing a PHD, how cool is that and you're ADHD brain will love it!

if it's something i actually care about i don't mind making a decision, but where its something where either outcome is appealling it's just easier if someone else decides. i switch between complete indecision and impulsively making choices straight away and dealing with the consequences later.
