I get annoyed at little things. Often tiny, insignificant little things, stupid things. To give an example.
I have a little plastic cutlery holder on my draining board next to the sink. It is divided into 4 quarters with a slightly shallower 'bit' in the middle, for tea spoons. If they're not in the middle bit you have to take the holder apart to get them out. I get really annoyed when teaspoons aren't put in the middle bit. It's such a tiny thing but I find it so annoying.
I'm the same with the cutlery draw, how the plates/bowls are stacked, what's where in the fridge, which pockets I put phone/wallet/cash/notes etc etc.
I thought it could be OCD's ish but there is rarely repetition, obsessive counting or checking, it just doesn't fit (and a most of my life is messy as hell).
After a lot of over thinking I've come to the conclusion that this is a learned behaviour as a function of my memory issues. Things all have their place simply to compensate for my crappy short term memory. If I have put something somewhere I can visualise it's location, know what it's near and why I put it there!
What da you lot think ? Is it a ADHDr's thing ?

I don't think it's ADHD. It's probably a light OCD or just a quirk I was going to say anal

Good job you didn't say it then Sounds a bit like OCD,or maybe a trait of ASD too, things having to be done a certain way every time. I have one or two things that I get narky about too John

In my fridge, sweet things go on the top shelf. My ex never learned to put the jam back on the top shelf, even though that's where he always found it. Or the cheese grater back in the right drawer (it traps the drawer if put in the wrong one). Or the steamer away with the sections stacked correctly - they jam if they go back in the wrong order. Or the sharp knives in the right slots. Or...
Far as I'm concerned, it was him, not me ;D

lol, I have a nice little bit of both (chaos and order) which is why it confuses me. I have to step over things in one room but in others, everything has it's place. I've ruled out OCD but I'm now wandering towards Aspergers. I've only been diagnosed ADHD a couple of months so I'm wary of over diagnosing or over analysing. Aspergers was never really 'on the list' and before today I'd not read much about it but the more I read, the more I identify with the condition (as it was for ADHD). I'm sure if I did a dyslexia test I'd have that too. I wonder if I can get a prize for having more than one condition, some Tesco vouchers maybe ?
