Watched Glasto on the TV. Bought electric guitar! Tuned it. Two weeks later, tuned it. 10 months later, sold it!

At least you manage to return or sell your stuff.
Both me and my fiancé seem to accumulate stuff and probably use only 10% of it.

On the subject of impulsively changing the decor.
Got home one day after school, and Mum had built a stud wall in her bedroom as she wanted an en suite. The living room furniture got moved around a lot as well. I'm sure if she had the money (and the internet) back then, it would've been much worse.

I just started playing my guitar again, after forgetting I owned one for a few years.
What started as me googling to find out the expected tonal difference between the different switch settings has resulted in me buying 2 new pickups, a complete set of components to rewire the whole thing, and a soldering iron. It was like an avalanche - all I could do was try to stay afloat in it.

I'm a shocker for that. Always buying new bits and bobs for my computer and guitar ... which often sit there for months/years. The problem is if something is faulty but I don't find out until I get round to trying it out. I also have two guitars and an amp still in bits, some of which have been like that for over a year. I buy lots of music & computer books too most of which don't get properly read. Still meaning to read them though ...
