As newly diagnosed but no actual support offered, I have started thinking of things I do which annoy people and wonder if they are actually related to AADHD. Drinking - whatever it is hot or cold, alcoholic or not I have to drink it very quickly, cannot sip a drink. Hot drinks are made to a temp that can be drunk in one or two lifts of the cup. If a drinks too hot to drink then after a few sips Its almost like I'm bored of it and leave it, not to cool down but leave it as for some reason then cannot drink it. Cold drinks are gone in one and alcoholic drinks in one or two drinks of the glass, although that doesn't mean I want another straight away. This really seems to upset people and draw attention to me. Food is the same I have to eat things really quickly. I have been told all my life to slow down to put my knife and fork down whilst eating, to chew each mouthful so many times, etc but I find it impossible to do. Anybody else seem to be like this?

I do the same myself sometimes...maybe it's the subconscious saying "hey, let's not waste time eating and drinking, there's far more interesting things to be doing!" perhaps.

I'm the same, drink everything at the fast pace - fast - be it vimto, coke , beer or wine. As if I'm not just sating my thirst, but the constant background noise of boredom I live under.
