Sorry if this is really dumb and lazy but I don't usually do Internet forum stuff.
I've just activated my account and can't find out anywhere that explains what I've done ( or why, but that's probably unanswerable ).
I know this is a really dumb question but its going to drive me mad! What am I activating my account to do? And if it is answerable, why?

+ in case anyone feels generous enough to answer my inane ramblings; is there anywhere here I could just keep a record or something of things like my original posts before I cut out 90% and send them, because I'd really like to see if when I'm on concerta or something, I am more focused, with less red herrings and sound less mad to myself?

God. I know I'm doing it now but just incase anyone suggests word or something like that, I got an ipad for my birthday (August) and have given up trying to work out the document app.

Activating your account via a link sent to your email is an anti spam measure. It's a way of confirming the validity of your email address, making sure it's not a randomly generated fake address.
...maybe.
i can't offer any help with the ipad thing, the only ipad i ever had was when i got a splinter in my i ;D

Cut and paste your posts into 'Notes' on your iPad. You can go back and read them there.

There is a 'Proboards' app for the iPad that is easier to us than trying to read forum posts on Safari, by the way. And you can still cut and past from there into Notes.

I use it on android. I really like it, but you can't see what you're replying to or have 2 windows up at once, or save draft messages. I like it because it puts all of your unread threads in one place, so you don't have to dig for them.
