could someone remind me how you do the little black boxes please ;D - its important as i have been declared the worst with computers on here (by petra) and i used to be so proud of my little boxes!!! - - - and would dispute your declaration petra as i have actually managed little boxes in the past but dont think you have got as far as doing them and then forgetting how to do them

Which little black boxes are they? There's quotes which have a black border.
You do that by typing [ then quote then ] then the text you want to put in the box then [/ then quote then ].
Does that make any sense to you?

Do you actually want to do quotes? I'm a little confused now...
As far as quotes go, you should have the words in this box in your post.
What you want to quote
When you aren't using the quick reply, there's some buttons in the Add Tags section that can help you put interesting stuff in your posts. Hover over them with your mouse to see what they are supposed to do.

It's so much easier just to click on the green 'quote'. You can delete any bits you don't want from within the brackets.

I agree that you need help. Would have thought doing little black boxes was the least of your worries though

Almost got it jane The idea is that everything within [ and ] is a command to the computer so long as there isn't a space after the [ and before the ]. The quote command tells the computer to start a quote box and the /quote command tells the computer to stop the box. If you modify your post and put ] after the first "quote" then [/ before the second quote you should get it right. Or, use the green quote button like Kathy said.

Make sure you don't delete the square brackets or anything inside them.

I shouldn't be worrying about this at nearly 3 in the morning! Sad really that I have nothing better to do or think about. Oh well, such is life
