So glad you managed to get some notes written. And I echo JJ - you are sooooooo ADHD.
So long as you give yourself at least twice the amount of time you THINK you need to get all those things done tomorrow, there shouldn't be a problem.
Before you go to bed, put notes, phone no. and address in bag. Put bag by door. Put matching boots by door, too.
If it was me, I'd be putting the address into Google maps and doing a virtual walkthrough from the station to the clinic. That way, I'd know what landmarks to look out for on the way. Or you could get a taxi, then you wont get lost.
Good luck! I'll be thinking about you tomorrow. What time is your appointment?
xXx

Does no update mean good result and gone shopping to celebrate ... ? Or bad result and don't want to talk about it ... ?

hiya sorry to keep you all in suspense didn't realise sorry didn't get in till 6. well ----- imagine drum roll ----- he said he thinks i'm completely normal and should stop mixing with you people on here as your a bad influence!!!!! ;D ha ha - did i have you there? well no actually he said i have adhd combined type but more inattentive and something (forgot now) than hyperactive and impulsive (he should of met me when i was younger !!!) but he also said he thinks i am ?(have ?) bipolar type 2!!!! which has shocked me a bit to be honest!!!( but not enough to shut me up ) don't actually know much about it to be honest but he said he was 95% sure about the adhd and 85% sure about the bipolar (cos i asked him) told me about a web site called blackdog something - got it written down somewhere so will have to start checking it out, he said its too far to go and see him for treatment and too expensive so he's gonna write to my gp to get me reffered to a specialist and said if i get any problems then get back to him and he'l get on it for me. he actually worked in the nhs for 27 years so knows the system he says, he was really nice actually - we talked for 2 hours solid but he let me have a fag break for 5 min and he gave me a lift back to the station as well . down side is bipolar needs to be treated first and complicates treating the adhd apparently but he does advise that i go on medication. am shocked and need bit of time to process it all but really glad i went - one of my favorite sayings is 'the truth will set you free' so at least i know what i'm dealing with now even if its taken me till i'm 50 to find out. you lot have been amazing - thanks again lovely add people xx

Hurray. I didn't doubt it for a second.
So, so glad you got a positive! Hope the extra diagnosis isn't too much of a shock, but now you know that's a good possibility, you can do some research on that and maybe it will provide some clues to other things that have impacted your life.
Will having a diagnosis from him speed up the process for you in the NHS, or are you in for a hefty wait, now?

So glad he was nice and that you got your diagnosis xxxx Shame the bipolar to be treated first but treating that might make an improvement in your life in itself then the adhd treatment can make it even better. Goodness, you will def need to get your head round it all but you must feel so much relief that you've finally got a diagnosis, and like you said, you're on the path and I love the 'truth will set you free' thing - completely resonates. Big glass of wine tonight for you then! ;D ;D ;D

wow you must have felt like you've had a longest day!! Talking straight for 2 hours with only 5mins off. so glad for you to have been diagnosed, I think now you have the answers to so many questions that have probably been wizzing around in your head for years will all come together now like a big jigsaw puzzle fitting together nicely ;D
take your time to process it, and things will feel much better from now on, xx
big hugs

Just popping in very quickly. You must be mind blown. I was diagnosed bipolar over 10 years ago and have since then been on medication for it and had some therapy. Please feel totally free to ask me anything, either on here or pm x

Hi janev Hope this new knowledge will empower you to be the healthiest and happiest and stable you can be. All the best getting the professional input you deserve. I have many mood fluctuations myself but I've always stopped short of thinking I'm B.P Do you have periods where u can't sleep and have racing thoughts? TBH there is such a cross over of symptoms !

morning cheekyb - we up early eh i'm really bad at remembering how i have felt over the years in terms of when how long was up or down, he said the type 2 is deeper downs and not such manic highs. i used to have major problems sleeping but when i'm really down have periods where i can do nothing but sleep. he agreed with me about the hormones making everything worse during menapause and is doing some sort of study or research on adhd and the menapause at mo can't rem now think may get back in touch and ask him. have racing thoughts most of time really thanks again for your support this week xx only way is up now eh! (hopefully) what really worries me about all this is that my daughters life is going to be like mine has been cos its been fucking struggle most of time to be honest! but at least i'm up at mo even if a bit hyper never relax - even when i'm sleeping i grind my teeth like mad!
