As some of you know I am on Strattera and have been for about 8 weeks, I have recently been getting dry mouth and morning nausea, but now the jitters have started. Shaking and feeling strange. I did feel a little manic yesterday - none stop chatting, irritable and racing thoughts and ideas. Had to get a roll of paper out and do a spider diagram It has been a while since this has happened and does make a change from the misery. This morning I felt a little similar and the shaking and jitters started. Felt sick and a little faint. Now having to rest as feel strange when I do something. This is frustrating, as I really need and want to clean, tidy and do something Has anyone else felt like this on their medication or is it anxiety? Thank you xxx

So sorry you're feeling like that I have no idea about strattera, but hopefully someone else will have experience, sending you a hug xxx

I've been on Strattera since January and not felt anything like that, but that doesn't mean that it hasn't had that effect on other people. I know there seem to be very few people on here taking Strattera, so I don't know if anyone else will know.
I hope it passes off soon. Take care of yourself. Hugs xxx

Changed your diet at all? Coffee does this to a few of us on meds I think.

If you look at the side effects list, one of the common ones is feeling jittery and shaky. Nausea as well. Have you upped the dose?
Alternatively, perhaps it's just a stage you're going through as the stuff builds up in your system? Hope it doesn't last long.
How has your mood been, lately?

Thank you, I haven't upped the dose so I assume it's all finally starting to kick in. Fingers crossed it is short lived. Mood is up and down with no 'normal' at the moment, very frustrating and exhausting. I am wondering if I maybe coming down with something, as I have a sore throat, very tired and achy plus this weird jittery feeling. xxx

since I have started meds I can't drink coffee at all, I get exactly the symptoms you mention I carry a bottle of sugar free juice around with me now. I can't skip breakfast any more either. I am on mph, but when your meds build up to the right level I believe they do the same thing ie inhibit the reuptake of dopamine. These symptoms are much worse near to my period as well.
They seem to be the result of low blood sugar levels but I know how you feel the sickie feeling makes it hard to eat enough. Feel better soon x x dee

Well, I now have tonsillitis and feel like utter crap, so it could have been that as it was like starting with the flu. I shall keep an eye on my caffeine intake though. Thank you

I am wondering if it is coffee rather than caffeine. I had some caffeine in something else today and felt fine but a mocha I had earlier in the week made me feel all weak and crappy. Coulda been a one off I spose.

if you bought a mocha from a coffee shop the caffeine is very high some of them have a double espresso in them. I love going to coffee shops and eating cake and drinking a macchiato when i'm down now what will I do??? just eat cake I guess
