i know many people find life with ADD quite difficult... so i thought it might be nice to see what the more positive sides of the ADD life are..
keeping in mind that every ADD person is different and has different life experiances, which is why i didnt name it 'what you like most about having add' lol that might spark a whole new discussion about 'is something add-ish or not' and that not the idea behind it haha.
so just whatever you feel is ADD related and enjoyable in your life..
for me its these:
1- ability to see more than one point of view in most situations
2- ability to zone off when there is a waiting period, making time go faster haha.
3- ability to handle myself and others and teh situation well during a crisis.
4- ability to laugh at myself, situations etc. and use humour in daily life.
5- ability to put things in perspective when others find something 'disastrous'/ 'terrible' etc.

Ability to entertain myself when bored. Just daydream and forget the whole world

1, I've set up a small business, painting murals and canvasses. I love being able to concentrate on painting so much- even not realising I'm hungry. 2, My parents might well have it too, and we all do such silly things that are sometimes hilarious! Laughing till tears run down my face 3, (apparently) I get to hear stories and jokes at least once and they're still new to me. And funny! 4, The thrill of life continuing after I've done something particularly daft without thinking about it! And 5, my fella loves me for me. If I didn't have these quirks, I might not have my fella.

1. Having an active imagination; being able to daydream time away. 2. Nout 3. Nout 4. Nout 5. Nout
Note that 1. is also something I hate about ADHD because I can't control it very well and so it causes huge problems.

Not what I love about me, though I do this too, but, when I just announced that I was moving into a new cottage that needed a huge amount of work doing to it - many of the adders of my acquaintance immediately asked how they could help. This includes people I've only met once or twice and people I barely know. So, because we love novelty, because we're impulsive and because many of us have a 'helping people' thing, I love other people who have ADHD!

I couldn't list 5 but I do feel more creative and less bothered by all the small things other people worry about.

1. Having an active imagination; being able to daydream time away. Note that 1. is also something I hate about ADHD because I can't control it very well and so it causes huge problems. i had decided that i would make christmas cards. and gave myself a deadline of tuesday morning to have them ready for posting. having decided what materials i would use about four weeks ago, i have spent ages "thinking about it" tho not actually allocating any time to it. i decided i would prioritise it over the weekend. i now have a very tidy house, and have just had an excellent dinner. my fridge is full of lovely food to eat over the next week, thanks to my cooking fest. i have had a few long, interesting telephone conversations and my clothes are all hung up in my wardrobe for the first time in ages. my toenails are a great shade of red and my fingernails are trimmed and tidy. i'm not sure where the rest of the weekend went cos i didn't get enough sleep or watch tv or read or do yoga or meditation or... dunno. and i am out all day tomorrow. this'll be why i didn't sent christmas cards for seven years. is that what you meant?!

The only thing I agree with re the OP is: "1- ability to see more than one point of view in most situations". But that can be a bloody nasty curse too. I think the question might be valid for pure ADD, but once you add in severe comorbidities, nothing's that easy. I can give you some hates. Sorry if that pisses people off who want to be positive, but that's my ADD wanting to be real: 1) People taking advantage of me (or just really taking the piss the using bastards) when I impulsively help them. I wish I knew some ADHDers like Kathymel who can jump in and then we can help each other. 2) Having to iteratively re-read material because I can't focus and then finally just get bored of it (or the act of re-reading). 3) Not being able to stop doing something trivial when I really should be doing something much more important and then philosophizing and rationalising any failure by suggesting that nothing's important because we're all stardust, we're all going to die some day and the planet's going to be engulfed by fire once the sun expands - for example. 4) Jumping from one fu***ng project to the next or ruminating over every possibility of every fu**ing project. Makes me look like a right unreliable tit. 5) Getting pissed off at some real trivia that might take me out of a zone and calmness I took ages to get into Positive aside?I like being an individual, because of the OP's point I do share, that non-ADHDers JUDGE without having a clue who I really am because they are totally incapable of understanding anything other than their narrow and controlled path-to-pension. But I hate the consequences of that, which can mean misconstruing perfectly innocent actions as something sinister, weird or unforgivably unconventional.
