There's a lot going on at work as well so it's a fabulous combination - not. I normally do okay with uncertainty but right now, I'm struggling. Unfortunately I am aware of the the surgery moving patients on outside their boundaries. They are a very big and busy surgery and the GPs are great but there's only so many people they can help. At the moment, my plan is to find somewhere still within the same CCG, set up a mail redirection in case they send any mail and then plead clemency when I eventually get caught. If I ask in advance and they say no, then I'll have no choice but to move. I think that's a perfectly understandable plan of action. I would feel perfectly justified doing that in your position. Life as an ADHDer is way too stressful to have to put up with anything more than you have to. I may be mistaken, but doesn't mail re-direction cost money? Could you use a friend's address instead?

. My landlord is a twat so they don't tell us much of what is going on, so we won't know till the house is house until they give us 30 days notice. Of course I'll be keeping an eye on the house on rightmove but it's not helping..... This doesn't sound right - not if you have a standard tenancy anyway. For a standard tenancy, (and assuming you're not sharing any of the house with the landlord) where you sign a fixed term contract, even if that fixed term period has expired, they should give you 2 month's notice.... If you tell me what you have I'll be able to tell you for sure.... As far as your GP plan is concerned, I'd def not say anything. Tho Kathy's right, it does cost to get redirected - can't remember how much . Xxx

Mary - Thank you! I feel a bit calmer after venting on here. However doing some meditation/mindfulness etc is a great idea. I'm going to start again!
You are right Kathy it will cost to redirect but needs must. It's a small price to pay for a key part of my sanity.
Jj - No, I don't have a standard type contract. The landlord has set up things slightly dodgily, with too many details to go into here. Thanks for the offer though!

Great article, and seem to recall reading this pretty much word-for-word on an American site called ADDitude. If you haven't come across this site yet, I'd highly recommend it. Made me weep (with relief!), recognising so many of my own symptoms

How she gets to adulthood undiagnosed, feels, thinks, acts... yep, pretty accurate description of my life. Great article, I'm going to bookmark it for future reference.

I'm so glad I came across this too. I was diagnosed with BPD 15 years ago and sent on my way with no support. I could see why they came to that conclusion but it never felt like the correct label to me so I'm validated somehow to read ADHD does get confused with BPD.

Hi lrose18 I'm not sure what you're asking. . .if it's for information about ADHD there's loads of websites. As for clinics. . .there are some, but, in NHS it depends on where you live as to what's available. Privately. . .there are ADHD specialist psychiatrists, but I'm unaware of clinics, as such.

Hi vagueandrandom, I have found a website that specialises only to ADHD, and they have a clinic in London. Would you like to check it out too? below is their website. www.adhdcentre.co.uk/

I recently met with a private doctor for a diagnosis. I brought up all these points (without reading the article first) and having read this just now it feel very validating and like I finally have an answer. Doctors kept trying to tell me that it was anxiety and depression and I know it isn't. I'm nervous at the prospect of medication and what does having ADHD mean for me..... but... it is also oddly freeing.
